Preschool Head Coach

Early Leaders Preschool is looking for a Preschool Head Coach to lead our new program for children ages 3–5.

This isn’t a traditional teaching position.

We’re looking for someone who wants the autonomy to shape an incredible preschool, build a culture families love, and grow alongside the program as it grows.

If you’ve ever dreamed of running your own preschool but weren’t excited about raising capital, signing a lease, navigating licensing, handling payroll, marketing, bookkeeping, or enrollment, keep reading.

We’ve already built that part.

Now we’re looking for the right person to build the program.

What You’ll Do

• Create an exceptional daily experience for children ages 3–5.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with families.
• Design engaging projects, activities, and outdoor adventures.
• Lead the day-to-day preschool program.
• Help shape the culture of Early Leaders Preschool.
• Collaborate with the Bend Leadership Academy leadership team.
• Continuously improve the program as it grows.
• Eventually help mentor future coaches as the preschool expands.

Qualifications

We’re much more interested in finding the right person than checking every box.

Required

• Experience working with children ages 3–5.
• Passion for early childhood education.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain before starting.
• Ability to successfully complete all Oregon-required background checks.
• Excellent communication skills with children, families, and fellow coaches.
• Strong organizational skills and a willingness to take ownership.
• Comfortable spending significant time outdoors in all seasons.
• Ability to actively participate in movement, games, hiking, lifting, and outdoor exploration.

Preferred

• Education or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Outdoor Education, Recreation, or a related field.
• Experience in project-based, outdoor, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, forest school, or other child-centered learning environments.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching other educators.
• Experience helping build or grow a program.
• A naturally entrepreneurial mindset.

 

Compensation & Growth

This is more than a salary.

As Early Leaders Preschool grows, we want your opportunity to grow with it.

Our goal is to create a program where increased enrollment creates increased opportunities, responsibilities, and compensation for the people helping build it.

Estimated starting hourly rate between $22-$24/hr with the ability to quickly increase as enrollment increases.
