Job Description
Our Guest Services and Security team plays a crucial role in shaping the overall guest experience at the Old Mill District by protecting property and ensuring public safety.
Team responsibilities vary and include maintaining cleanliness throughout the district, assisting tenants with day-to-day operational needs, supporting events, and providing property management services. This team serves as a visible, approachable presence dedicated to creating a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support Guest Services and Security teams during concerts and special events
- Assist with venue perimeter patrols and river path closures on event days
- Monitor river path closures to ensure detour compliance
- Patrol riverfront property to deter individuals from entering restricted or environmentally sensitive areas
- Provide crowd control and guest assistance throughout the shopping district
- Patrol the Old Mill District to assist guests with customer service needs and direction
- Respond to tenant calls for service, including suspicious persons, trespassing, shoplifting, disruptive customers, and parking complaints
- Work positively with juveniles to build rapport and encourage respectful, appropriate behavior within the district
- Serve as a visible, approachable presence to promote a safe and welcoming environment
Schedule & Availability
Shifts may vary and can include:
• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• 3:30 PM – 11:00 PM
• 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM

Shifts may occur seven days a week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Hours are not guaranteed and depend on concert schedules and seasonal operational needs.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment such as signs, cones, and barricades
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including prolonged exposure to high temperatures
- Ability to remain at a static post for extended periods of time
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, including over uneven terrain
- Ability to perform physically active duties throughout long event and patrol shifts
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Ability to work in high-noise environments.
- Ability to work in highly populated areas.
Qualifications
- DPSST Certification in Private Security is preferred but not required
- Event & Entertainment experience or Certification is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in dynamic, high-traffic environments
- Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
