Hello! We are looking to fill the roles of barista and bodega clerk at our shop located in
Westside Bend.

The Pantry is Bend’s full service apothecary style refill grocery and coffee shop; offering
organic kitchen staples, spices, tea all in bulk as well as refillable household, laundry
and body care products. Alongside our refill shop, we are a coffee shop serving up
unique drinks and pastries. We are currently hiring to fill the following positions:

BARISTA / BODEGA CLERK
All are welcome to apply regardless of coffee experience. We are looking for
kind-hearted, genuine folks who have a curiosity to learn and interest in connecting
with people. If the enthusiasm and commitment to training and working into that role is
present, we look forward to hearing from you. Here are some key aspects and qualities
we feel essential to the position of Barista / Bodega Clerk:

– Providing amazing customer service, create positive welcoming environment to guests
as well as co-workers
– An enthusiasm to connect with customers and influence a positive experience
– A strong work ethic, attention to detail and a team player outlook
– Preparing espresso drinks and tea
– Following and preparing recipes for coffee bar needs (we make all of our nut milks
and syrups in house)
– Inventory of coffee and beverage service area, communication of needed items, any
maintenance related to equipment
-Assisting customers to fulfill bulk orders (dry goods, household, body care)
– Cashiering (Square POS), putting together bulk orders, selling pastries, beverages, grab
& go food etc.
– General upkeep and house-keeping of shop

– A belief that ordinary things can be used for extraordinary good
– A genuine interest in connecting with people around the topics of food, sustainability,
music, gardening, dogs.
– Current food handlers permit (or completed prior to first day of work)
– OLCC alcohol servers permit (or completed within 2 weeks of first day)
– Physical nature of the job includes but not limited to: ability to stand and be on your
feet, reaching for jars, using a step stool/climbing the bulk bar ladder, a sense of humor
and adaptability.

Compensation: competitive hourly wage based on experience / tips / discount on
groceries/retail
