Job Summary:

The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring financial performance, operational excellence, exceptional guest experience, and strong team leadership. Additionally, the Restaurant General Manager oversees the private events division, including direct oversight of the Private Events Sales Manager.

This role requires a demonstrated background in hospitality and restaurant management, strong financial acumen including experience with budgeting and labor optimization, and a proven ability to lead, develop, and retain high-performing teams. This individual partners closely with department leaders to execute company standards, drive revenue, and foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture.

Job Requirements:

  • Operations & Leadership
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service execution across all shifts
  • Maintain high standards of guest experience, hospitality, cleanliness, and food & beverage quality
  • Address guest feedback and service recovery in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, alcohol service, and labor regulations
  • Collaborate with culinary, brewing, and events teams to align service execution
  • Hire, onboard, train, and develop assistant managers and hourly team members
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management to restaurant staff
  • Create and maintain clear expectations, accountability, and consistent communication
  • Handle employee relations issues and disciplinary actions
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive, and professional work environment Financial Management & Reporting
  • Build and manage weekly schedules aligned with labor targets and business volume
  • Monitor sales trends and develop strategies to drive revenue during slow periods
  • Oversee gift card programs, promotions, and seasonal initiatives
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports, and operational summaries to leadership Systems, Process & Compliance
  • Maintain and update SOPs, training materials, and operational documentation
  • Ensure all licenses, permits, and certifications remain current and compliant
  • Partner with HR and finance teams on payroll, job codes, and employee records
  • Oversee POS systems, inventory controls, and operational tools
  • Lead audits, inspections, and internal reviews as required Cross-Department Collaboration & External Partner Relations
  • Partner with marketing, sales, and brewery divisions to support on-site initiatives
  • Oversee private events and special programming from operational planning through execution
  • Contribute to long-term operational planning and growth strategies
  • Act as a liaison between executive leadership and restaurant teams
  • Lead vendor and partner relationships to support operational and financial goals
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align retail merchandising and inventory planning with revenue objectives and brand standards

Qualifications:

  • 2-4+ years of restaurant or hospitality leadership experience (GM-level preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or similar background preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and reporting to C-suite executives.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, forecast revenue, and adjust strategy accordingly.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with POS systems, scheduling software, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple departments and priorities in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays are required. Compensation
  • Salary: $75-85k, depending on experience
